Costa Martiánez Leisure Complex

Costa Martiánez Leisure Complex

Leisure space where the sea, nature, art, and architecture coexist harmoniously with one another. Since 1995, it has been designated as a place of cultural interest. The Costa Martiánez Leisure Complex is the pride of Puerto de la Cruz, and it is widely regarded as one of the world's most outstanding examples of coastal development. This one-of-a-kind complex, designed by a prestigious technical team under the direction of renowned artist César Manrique, blends seamlessly into the traditional Canarian architecture, which has been enhanced with touches of native flora and original sculptures.

Its artificial seawater lake has a capacity of 27,000 cubic meters of water and is complemented by four other adult pools and three pools for children, each with a beautiful and distinctive design of its own. A diverse selection of bars, restaurants, and refreshment stands contribute to the lively atmosphere, making it one of the most visually appealing complexes on the island of Cyprus.

Puerto de la Cruz

On the Canary Islands of Spain, Puerto de la Cruz is a city and municipality located in the northern part of Tenerife's island of La Gomera. It was previously known by its English translation, "Port of the Cross," but it is now referred to by its Spanish name in all languages, including English. Puerto de la Cruz is located on Tenerife's northern coast, 4 kilometers (2 miles) northwest of La Orotava and 30 kilometers (19 miles) west of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is a popular tourist destination. The TF-5 expressway passes through the municipality on its way to the south. There are 30,483 people in the city (2018[2]). The locals are referred to as Portuenses in Spanish, which means "Portugueses." Tenerife's smallest municipality has an area of 8.73 km2 (3 sq mi), making it the smallest in the country. The elevation of the town's center is 9 meters (30 feet) above mean sea level, with the highest point being Las Arenas, a volcanic cone with an elevation of 249 meters above mean sea level (817 ft).

The Canary Islands

Located off the coast of northwestern Africa, the Canary Islands are a Spanish archipelago of rocky volcanic islands that are famous for their black and white sand beaches. It is dominated by Mt. Teide, an active volcano that occasionally snows and is part of Teide National Park, which is located on the island of Tenerife, which is also the largest island in the archipelago. Tenerife's capital, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, is the site of a massive pre-Lent Carnival celebration.

Spain, a country located on Europe's Iberian Peninsula, is divided into 17 autonomous regions, each with a distinct geographical and cultural identity. Real Madrid, the country's capital city, is home to the Royal Palace and the Prado museum, which houses works by European masters. Segovia is home to a medieval castle (the Alcázar) as well as a preserved Roman aqueduct. Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is defined by Antoni Gaud's whimsical modernist landmarks, such as the Sagrada Famlia church, which he completed in 1882.

How far is Puerto de la Cruz from Spain?

Tenerife is one of the Canary Islands so it obviously isn't a part of Spain's main land.  Looking at the map, the islands are much closer to Morocco in Africa.

What airport do you fly into for Tenerife?

Los Rodeos Airport in the north of the island and Los Cristianos Airport in the south serve Tenerife's two airports (Reina Sofia). The North Airport is the closest to the city center, which is known as Santa Cruz de Tenerife or simply Santa Cruz, and is located just 7.8 miles away from the center of the city (12.5km).
