The Brando Tahiti

The Brando Tahiti

The Brando Tahiti

“Tetiaroa is beautiful beyond my capacity to describe.  One could say that Tetiaroa is the tincture of the South Seas.”

MARLON BRANDO

The Brando is a one-of-a-kind luxury resort located on the breathtakingly beautiful atoll of Tetiaroa in French Polynesia and considered one of the best resorts in the world. There are a dozen small islands (motus) that surround a spectacular three-mile wide lagoon, and it is situated on one of them. The motus are all privately owned and are only available to resort guests and visiting researchers on a limited basis.

The all-inclusive resort, which can be reached by a 20-minute private plane flight from Tahiti, offers 35 secluded villas with private pools on beautiful white-sand beaches frequented by sea turtles and exotic birds. The resort is accessible by private plane from Tahiti.

A luxurious spa and wellness center with several massage and treatment villas around a serene lily-covered pond; an organic garden where fruits and vegetables for the resort's restaurants are grown; a lagoon-view bar under the canopy of palm trees; a beach bar near a large infinity pool; a tennis court; a library and cultural center; and a boutique court. This Polynesian style resort offers two restaurants showcasing Polynesian-inspired dishes, East/West fusion.

The Brando

Those who want to be more physically active will find a plethora of options. For each guest, a bicycle is provided in the villa, which can be used to explore the paths around the island or to transport a picnic to a favorite beach or location. Sailing in the lagoon, paddleboarding to a neighboring island, kayaking above coral gardens, strolling along the long stretches of beach, participating in a guided or unguided marine, bird, cultural, or other excursion are all options for guests. Alternatively, guests can simply relax at the resort's spa and wellness center.

The materials used in the construction of the buildings are of local or certified origin, as well as renewable or recycled. A deep seawater air-conditioning system has been installed to reduce energy consumption. Solar power and coconut oil biofuel are examples of renewable energy sources that are being used.

The zinc-bromine flow batteries, which are used to store the energy generated by solar panels, are constructed entirely of recyclable materials. The resort's vehicles are either electric or powered by humans.

History

The Brando Resort's construction began in 2009 with the help of Teti'aroa Pacific Beachcomber SC. The first phase of the construction project included repairing the airstrip runway to make plane landings more smooth and extending the tarmac to meet current aviation standards, among other things. Additionally, a reef dock was built to facilitate shipments from the ocean side of the reef to the lagoon side.

Construction on The Brando Resort was officially completed in February 2014, according to a press release. The Brando officially opened its doors on July 1, 2014. A total of eight of Marlon Brando's relatives, as well as the Brando Estate, were involved with the project.

Tetiaroa Atoll

Located 30 miles north of Tahiti, the exquisite Polynesian atoll of Tetiaroa is a haven of breathtaking beauty, tranquility, and rejuvenation. It has long been a favorite summer retreat for Tahitian royalty, who chose this island above all others for their summer retreat, and later for Marlon Brando, who made it his personal sanctuary.

On this breathtakingly beautiful private atoll, in July 2014, the new luxury resort The Brando opened its doors to guests. When it comes to concept and scope, the Brando is unmatched. It combines environmental purity with luxury and Polynesian charm to create an unforgettable stay.

Brando COVID-19 policy

Several additional sanitary measures have been implemented by the resort to protect our guests and residents of the atoll as a result of the rapid increase in Covid-19 cases in French Polynesia.

These measures are in addition to the country's requirements that our international guests must follow in order to enter French Polynesia, as well as the existing measures in place at the resort.

A More Comprehensive Sanitary Protocol at The Brando

Tetiaroa is subject to systematic regulation of entry.

Staff members, partners, and resident guests in French Polynesia have been subjected to systematic antigenic testing since Monday, August 09, regardless of whether they arrived by air or sea. This measure will be in place until further notice in order to reduce the risk of virus transmission from asymptomatic carriers into the population. Because of the reasons stated above, this measure does not apply to international visitors.

Vaccination provided on-site

French Polynesia is extending access to a number of vaccines to more people. Vaccination of staff members and partners on the atoll will be provided by our medical partner in order to encourage and facilitate vaccination access for residents of Tetiaroa, despite the atoll's geographical isolation. Please be advised that, at the present time, French law prohibits companies from requiring their employees to be vaccinated.
