According to information obtained by Caribbean Journal, JetBlue Airways will soon resume service to Guadeloupe, which is located in the French Caribbean.

It has been announced by the Guadeloupe Islands Tourist Board that the airline headquartered in New York City would be relaunching what is now its lone flight service to the French Caribbean.

JetBlue will begin operating three weekly flights between New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and Pointe a Pitre International Airport beginning on November 5.

These flights will operate in conjunction with Air France's already established service between New York and Guadeloupe, which is currently operated by Air France.

Are you going to Guadeloupe any time soon?

It is essential to keep in mind that Guadeloupe is in fact an archipelago. It consists of two major islands, Grande-Terre and Basse-Terre, which are separated by a narrow channel. Additionally, there are a number of smaller islands that can be reached by ferry service, including Terre de Haut, Marie-Galante, and La Desirade.

Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays will be the days that JetBlue will be in charge of operating the service.

It is a tremendous boost for a place that has a wonderfully diverse landscape but is still relatively unknown to the majority of tourists.

The nation is home to some of the most beautiful beaches and verdant jungles in the Caribbean, not to mention one of the most prosperous rum industries in the region.

This is especially true on the island of Marie-Galante, which is known for its laid-back atmosphere and beautiful beaches, and which also happens to be home to three excellent rum distilleries despite having a population of only about 10,000 people.

And then there's Terre de Haut, the island that serves as the focal point of the magnificent line of islets known as Les Saintes, which also includes the breathtakingly exquisite La Desirade.
