Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo

Four Seasons Costa Rica

The Four Seasons Resort Guanacaste is positioned in a gorgeous isthmus location with two beaches on the Peninsula Papagayo in Guanacaste (as opposed to resorts located in the rainforest). It is the most opulent five-star resort in Costa Rica. At the same time, it caters to both couples and families. If you're traveling with kids, there's a kids' club on-site with its own pool where they may participate in planned activities.

When it comes to lodging, you have a range of alternatives to pick from, including rooms, suites, and villas. The interior design and decoration of these upscale accommodations feature stone, bamboo, or wood accents. Even the simplest accommodations have a view of the ocean, which is unusual these days. Each of the one-bedroom suites has its own private plunge pool, and for larger families, there is also a three-bedroom villa.

On-site amenities include an 18-hole golf course, three swimming pools, and four restaurants. On the property, there is also a lovely spa where tourists may enjoy the sauna and plunge pools without needing to make a reservation.

This Costa Rican resort is your launching pad into infinite experiences, with its hilltop elevation overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Return to this tropical resort after a day of zip-lining, surfing, or trekking a volcano for farm-to-table cuisine, refreshing swims in our four pools, or peaceful spa treatments. We can't wait for you to come to Peninsula Papagayo and experience "pura vida" with our personalized itineraries for families and couples alike.

The Accommodations

The 182 tropical-chic guest rooms and suites are light and spacious, with plenty of natural light pouring in every available window.  All of the accommodations have forest, ocean, or combination views, making it easy to spot monkeys, manakins, and other wildlife.  Meyer Davis Design Studio's latest room revamp — new furniture, vivid paintings, and local wood accents — brings the indoor-outdoor space even closer together.

GUEST ROOMS

Enjoy the sights and sounds of Costa Rica's rich wildlife from the comfort of these well-appointed Guest Rooms, which feature optional private terraces with partial ocean or bay views.

SUITES

Offering views of the surrounding tropical forest or bay with the option of furnished patios and adjoining infinity-edge pools, our Luxury Suites provide quick and convenient access to the resort’s beaches, restaurants and amenities.

PRIVATE RESIDENCES

Our Ronald Zürcher-designed Private Residences blend into the hillside and have private kitchens and panoramic views of the peninsula from the infinity pool and patio, making them ideal for families, groups, and longer-stay guests wanting the conveniences of residential living.

Restaurants

Nemare Restaurant, a new specialty dining in Chorotega, stands true to its name, which means "smoke" in Chorotega, with a menu of smoke-infused foods (45-day habanero beef) and cocktails (the smokey rosemary- and bourbon-packed Romargo).  In its wood-fired open kitchen, the stunning Bahia produces Latin American cuisine all day.  Pesce is a refined seafood restaurant that serves fresh catches and unique kinds of pasta alongside skillfully paired wines, as the name suggests.

Anejo is a fantastic place to get an açai bowl during the day. Stop by for a green juice in the afternoon. The place comes alive in the evenings with passed tapas, excellent aperitifs, and live DJ sets.  While La Reserva has an in-house mixologist and a large rum collection, the venue is most appealing for its options to build your own rum blends and infusions.

Closest Airport

Guanacaste Airport, also known as Liberia International Airport and Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport, is one of Costa Rica's four international airports.
